Skip Morris and Brian Chan released this book in 1999. In 2008, we revised the chironomid section, updating images and adding colour diagrams. This book introduces the novice fly fisher to the world of stillwater (lake) fly fishing and offers more in-depth knowledge for the intermediate level angler. Topics range from reading a lake, seasons of a lake, gearing up with the right rods, reels, and fly lines, fly selection and fly pattern, insect life cycles, hatch charts, fly fishing strategies, boat setup, and courtesy on the water. Extensive use of colour images and diagrams make this book very easy to understand and to learn from.
